About Me

Lavette Loc Studio, LLC was founded in 2017. Providing natural hair braiding and protective styling with extensions. In 2017 I successfully completed the Sisterlocks®️ training. Sisterlocks™️ has provided me the perfect opportunity to learn a new technique that is wonderful for the health of the hair and the wellbeing of the individual. I am a Certified Sisterlocks™️ Consultant since 2018.

As a pre-teen I was doing hair during most of my free time. People would set appointments with me and I would do their hair on the front porch. I learned how to set my prices for hairstyles that included natural hair braiding and extension hair braiding.

I attended college and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Communications and Sociology. While living in the dorm my entrepreneur spirits presented itself again. I began doing hair in the college dorms. I saw how the clients felt when they’d leave after receiving my services and they would be so happy. People would see the styles on them and it would bring more people to request my services. This was the foundation and inspiration for me to pursue being an entrepreneur.

My desire for having my own business was like a fire burning inside me. I observed and used all of my training and studying to liberate me from the corporate work setting in 2019. I wanted my own purpose to be fulfilled. Now, I am filled with joy as I am in my purpose.

It is my mission as a premium natural loc studio to provide everyone who walk through my door the experience that will allow them to leave my establishment feeling liberated, beautiful, educated and satisfied. My intimate work setting allows for one-on-one attention to your hair care needs. It’s my desire for all women to rock their natural hair and possess natural and holistic hair care practices. With me you know you’ll be serviced, respected and cared for.
